Who We Are

Project Development and Management Unit NCR serves as the project development implementing and monitoring arm of all Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) and other DILG-funded administered projects implemented by LGUs in the region.

The General Appropriations Act of FY 2024 sets forth specific directives regarding the oversight and evaluation of local government units (LGUs) in the execution and administration of various projects, particularly those funded by the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) and other local infrastructure initiatives. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is mandated to exercise its supervisory authority to ensure compliance.

Key components of this mandate include the implementation of Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) Systems, which serve as a structured approach to assess the effectiveness and impact of these projects. Through RBME, the DILG aims to systematically measure the outcomes of LGU initiatives against predetermined performance indicators, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and resource allocation.

Furthermore, the DILG is tasked with enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of local project monitoring committees. These committees play a crucial role in supporting LGUs by providing guidance and assistance in monitoring and evaluating infrastructure projects within their respective jurisdictions. Strengthening these committees enables LGUs to take on more significant responsibilities in overseeing and managing local projects, ultimately contributing to improved governance and accountability at the grassroots level.
